New York Knicks Officially Announce Blockbuster Trade

The New York Knicks had a fantastic regular season, finishing 50-32 and earning the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

They advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs for the second consecutive season, but were defeated by the Indiana Pacers in Game 7.

On Saturday, the Knicks formally confirmed their massive deal with the Brooklyn Nets.

Bridges was the tenth pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and has spent six seasons with the Phoenix Suns (and Nets).

In 474 regular-season games, he has averaged 14.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 steals while shooting 48.0% from the field and 37.5% from three.

He has also appeared in 39 playoff games, including the Suns' appearance in the 2021 NBA Finals (which they lost in six games to the Milwaukee Bucks).

Bridges was teammates (in college) with Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson, and Donte DiVincenzo. While the Nets will be one of the weakest teams in the NBA next season, they have clearly decided to rebuild.

Moving forward, they will have a glut of first-round picks.
